![]() ![]() I never flown an Albatross it's a bit slow to my liking, even with the engines maxed out. The particular outfit I used can take out 2x Maboros (or more smaller ships) up close, or take a beating from multiple ships firing seekers at it while managing couple weaker targets up close. When you make a mistake, enemy fleet can easily destroy your ship within seconds and you have to start again - which is especially painful if you destroyed most of the enemy fleet already - so there's nothing dishonorable in taking a break and landing. This way, you can safely save your progress by landing on a planet (jumping out to a friendly neighbouring system is even better!), then return to continue fighting without having to deal with resurrected enemies. Falcon vs superior fleet and Take down the Devil in a Leviathan, they may be helpful.Īnother advice would be to completely destroy every ship you disable. I do have a couple videos demonstrating such tactics uploaded, e.g. I did not record this fight since it took a number of tries and honestly my laptop does not handle game recording or streaming too well, fps spikes making already hard task of taking out large fleet solo even harder. Even when you cross the border where NPC don't follow to lure them, sometimes only 1 or 2 Pug ships will advance towards you, making them easy prey - while others will keep afar or start advancing much later. However, Pug also don't get agitated as much as most other enemies - and this trait actually makes fighting them much easier. Pug are special in a way that they don't have many ship configurations, so after you're done with Zibrukas it's hard to split the remaining Pug just by speeding away. Then, you need to take out the larger ships. Taking them out should not be a problem as long as you keep yourself out of range of Enfoltas' and Maboros' seekers. They are much faster than other Pug ship yet weak and have very low-range weaponry - but if they swarm you it won't be pretty. When you are fighting the Pug alone, first you need to take out all the Zibrukas. When doing this mission, you can jump to Altair from Sol simultaneously with some Republic fleet going in that direction, for very same reason. So, if you have some friendly fleet left, they may serve as a decoy while you attack straggling Pug ships, or vice versa, take out some stragglers while you lead main Pug force after you. In some missions, Liberate Shiver in particular, the target Pug fleet won't follow. In most missions if you jump out of the system, the Pug fleet that needs to be obliterated to advance will follow, so you can lead them to Sol or somewhere else, sooner or later they will be destroyed by humans with infinite reinforcements. ![]()
